Lentfer, who won MVP honors at last week’s Alaska Prep Shootout, led the way in a 63-37 victory over Metlakatla on Day 1 of the premier high school basketball tournament in the state.

The big man played big, scoring 23 points and ripping down 10 rebounds. The 6-foot-7 forward converted 8-of-14 field goals and 7-of-8 free throws.
